Refunds and Cancellations

Last updated 19 September 2026.

The short version: cancel whenever you like, and if a subscription turns out not to be for you, tell us within seven days of your first payment and we will refund it.

Cancelling

Go to your account page and choose Manage billing. Cancelling takes a few seconds and needs no email, no phone call, and no explanation.

Cancelling stops the next payment. Your access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, so cancelling a month in does not lock you out that afternoon.

Refunds

If you change your mind, email us within seven days of your first payment, on either plan, and we will refund it in full. No reason required.

After seven days a subscription is not refundable for the remainder of the period. You can still cancel, and your access runs to the end of the time you paid for.

Renewals are treated the same way: seven days from the renewal charge, if you meant to cancel and did not get to it in time.

When we will refund regardless

If you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged for something you plainly did not sign up for, write to us and we will put it right. That is a mistake, not a refund request.

And if something has genuinely gone wrong beyond these rules, ask anyway. This is a small publication run by a person, not a policy engine.

How to ask

Email admin@winedoctrine.com from the address on the account. Refunds go back to the card that paid, usually within five to ten working days depending on your bank.

Before you dispute a charge

If something looks wrong on your statement, please write to us first. A card dispute costs us a fee whatever the outcome and takes weeks to resolve; an email usually takes an hour. We would rather refund you than argue with your bank.
